(this is of course ignoring beta options, which are not the same as early access) The option to purchase it is what indicates if it's available to play right now. It just means that it isn't in a state to be out of early access yet. It listing "Early Access" on the page does not equal the game is available to play right now. They've published the store page so that people can register interest once the early access does release.Īlso "by listing it as Early Access before any launch, you give the customer the impression there exists a build they are working on" I mean there is a build that they are working on, and they're making sure that it's ready for an early access build, which as already said appears to be happening in July.Įverything to me appears fairly transparent.Īlso I actually would prefer for games to state that it'll be releasing in an early access state prior to release, rather than making it look like it won't be, then change it on the day of release. This is a steam thing, not specifically this developer. If a game will be early access, it needs to state this before the actual release date. it states "This game is not yet available on Steam" and that it is planned to leave early access in the first half of 2022. The store page seems extremely clear to me in all honesty. Same as ppl did with Hades, when they said Steam launch meant it would be out of EA ( and it wasnt )Īnd it made ppl pretty mad. If they plan to launch an Early Access title, they should state so on the store page.īy listing it as Early Access before any launch, you give the customer the impression there exists a build they are working on, that people will have early acccess to - and it wouldn't be unfair to assume that by the time it DOES come out ( in this case, July? ) they would expect it to not-be Ea. ![]() It won't be available for early access until July, but you can add it to your wishlist for the time being so you get notified when it is available :) I wish devs would learn how ot use EA properly.
